The Role
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Web Developer to join our growing development team. You will play a key role in the entire web development lifecycle, from design and implementation to maintenance and optimization. You’ll leverage your expertise in front-end and back-end technologies to deliver exceptional web applications that are user-friendly, scalable, and performant.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to translate user stories and wireframes into high-quality web applications.
- Design and develop user interfaces (UIs) using modern front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Develop robust and scalable back-end systems using server-side languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, PHP) and frameworks.
- Build and manage efficient databases (relational or NoSQL) to ensure secure data storage and retrieval.
- Integrate front-end elements with back-end APIs for seamless data exchange.
- Implement security best practices to protect user data and application integrity.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and potentially performance testing to ensure code quality and application stability.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex web application issues across the entire stack.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies on both the front-end and back-end.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall codebase quality.
- Mentor junior developers by sharing knowledge and providing guidance (if applicable).
- Document code clearly and concisely for future maintenance and reference purposes.
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience as a Senior Web Developer (or similar roles in front-end and back-end development).
- Strong understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Proficiency in at least one popular front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Solid understanding of back-end development concepts and experience with a server-side language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, PHP).
- Experience with database management systems (relational or NoSQL).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- A passion for building high-quality, user-centric web applications and a commitment to continuous learning.
Bonus Points
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying web applications (a plus).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) (a plus).
- Experience with API design principles and security considerations (RESTful APIs).
- Experience with accessibility best practices for web development (a plus).
- Experience with performance optimization techniques for web applications.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior developers (if applicable).
