The Quality Champion
We are searching for a seasoned and results-oriented QA Manager to lead our growing Quality Assurance (QA) team. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from a quality perspective, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that meet our customers’ needs. Your leadership skills, combined with your in-depth understanding of QA methodologies, will be instrumental in building a strong QA culture and driving continuous improvement in our software quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of QA testers, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with the company’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Define and implement clear testing processes, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and effective testing practices.
- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans covering all functionalities, user interfaces, and compatibility across different platforms and devices.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest QA tools, technologies, and methodologies, and implement them to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with development teams throughout the SDLC to identify and address potential defects early in the development process.
- Analyze and report on QA metrics (e.g., defect rates, test coverage) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that QA activities are aligned with business goals.
- Champion a culture of quality within the organization, promoting awareness and ownership of quality throughout the development process.
- Manage the QA budget and resources effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience in QA management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and best practices in software testing.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating a QA team.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing, usability testing).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (a plus).
- Experience with bug tracking systems (a plus).
- Experience in a similar software development environment (a plus).
