The Guardian of the Gates
We are searching for a skilled and vigilant Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing IT team. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our company’s data and systems from cyberattacks by proactively identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses in our network infrastructure and applications.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, implementing security controls and best practices to mitigate risks.
- Analyze security logs and network traffic to detect suspicious activity and potential breaches.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Security Operations Center, Development) to improve overall security posture.
- Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices, promoting a culture of security awareness.
- Maintain security documentation, including vulnerability reports, incident response plans, and security policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience in cyber security analysis, information security, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cyber security concepts, principles, and attack vectors (e.g., phishing, malware, social engineering).
- Working knowledge of network security fundamentals (firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools (a plus).
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems (a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A detail-oriented and proactive approach to security.
Bonus Points
- Certifications in cyber security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) (a plus).
- Experience in security incident response (SIR) (a plus).
- Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools (a plus).
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for security automation (a plus).
- Knowledge of specific security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework) (a plus).
