The Role
We’re looking for a skilled and collaborative Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to join our growing team. You will bridge the gap between business and technology by eliciting requirements, analyzing data, and designing solutions that meet both business needs and technical feasibility. You’ll be a key player in ensuring successful project delivery through clear communication, documentation, and a strong understanding of technical concepts.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for technical projects.
- Work with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current systems and desired functionalities.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights relevant to project requirements.
- Create user stories, use cases, and other business process documentation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (e.g., system design documents, data flow diagrams).
- Participate in system design discussions, providing technical expertise and business insights.
- Assist with test case development and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for business analysis and relevant technologies.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK Guide).
- Experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements using various techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, user stories).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in data analysis techniques and comfortable working with data sets.
- Experience with technical documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Visio).
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with relevant technical concepts and technologies used in your company (a plus).
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (a plus).
