The E-commerce Architect
We are searching for a skilled and creative Shopify Developer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building and customizing our Shopify store to provide a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for our customers. Your expertise in Shopify development and understanding of e-commerce best practices will be essential in driving our online sales and brand growth.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom themes and functionalities using the Shopify platform and Liquid templating language.
- Maintain and optimize our existing Shopify store to ensure smooth operation and performance.
- Integrate third-party apps and extensions to enhance store functionality and customer experience (e.g., payment gateways, shipping solutions, marketing tools).
- Develop custom features and functionalities to meet specific business needs that are not available in pre-built themes or apps.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketing teams to translate design concepts and marketing strategies into effective features within the Shopify store.
- Ensure our Shopify store adheres to best practices for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to improve organic search visibility.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user behavior data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the online store for conversions.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in Shopify development and e-commerce technologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience developing e-commerce websites with Shopify.
- Strong understanding of Shopify themes, Liquid templating language, and Shopify development best practices.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including frameworks like jQuery) for front-end development.
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs and functionalities for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with integrating third-party apps and extensions within the Shopify platform (a plus).
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices for conversion optimization and user experience (UX) design (a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- A passion for e-commerce and a desire to create a user-friendly and successful online store.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Shopify development frameworks (e.g., Shogun, Themeforest) (a plus).
- Experience with headless commerce and API development for Shopify (a plus).
