The Role
We’re looking for a skilled Pega Developer to join our growing development team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using the Pega Platform. You will work closely with business analysts, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative solutions that automate and optimize business processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Pega applications using best practices and methodologies (e.g., Pega Methodology, Agile principles).
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop robust and scalable Pega applications using Pega Class rules, Data Models, Activities, Flows, and Processes.
- Integrate Pega applications with external systems (e.g., databases, legacy systems) using web services, APIs, and data connectors.
- Configure security features and access controls within the Pega platform.
- Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure application functionality and stability.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex Pega application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall code quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Pega features, functionalities, and best practices.
- Document Pega applications clearly and concisely for future maintenance and reference.
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience as a Pega Developer or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of the Pega Platform (Pega 7 or higher) and its core functionalities.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
- Experience with database querying languages (e.g., SQL).
- Experience with web services and APIs (a plus).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- A passion for building high-quality applications and a commitment to continuous learning.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Pega certifications (Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA), Pega Certified System Architect – Integration (PCSA-I), etc.) (a plus).
- Experience with Pega DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) in a Pega environment (a plus).
- Experience with user interface (UI) design principles within Pega (a plus).
