The Network Guardian
We are searching for a skilled and reliable Network Administrator to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and security of our entire network infrastructure. Your expertise in network administration, troubleshooting, and security best practices will be essential in ensuring a stable, secure, and efficient network environment for all our employees.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
- Monitor network performance, identify and resolve network issues proactively.
- Manage user accounts, network access controls, and enforce security policies.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to safeguard against cyber threats.
- Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Document network configurations and procedures for maintainability.
- Assist with onboarding new employees and setting up their network access.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest network technologies and security threats.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience in network administration.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and technologies.
- Familiarity with common network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and their configuration.
- Experience with network troubleshooting methodologies and tools.
- Working knowledge of network security best practices (firewalls, access control lists, VPNs).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A willingness to learn and stay updated on new technologies.
Bonus Points
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent (a plus).
- Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Python scripting) (a plus).
