The Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Magento Developer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and enhancing our e-commerce websites built on the Magento platform. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to deliver a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-quality Magento themes and extensions to customize the functionality and user interface of our e-commerce websites.
- Configure and manage Magento stores, including product catalogs, payment gateways, shipping methods, and tax rules.
- Integrate third-party extensions and APIs to extend Magento functionalities and connect with external systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and secure code adhering to Magento coding standards and best practices.
- Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and application functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining a high standard of code within the Magento codebase.
- Troubleshoot and debug Magento issues to identify and resolve problems promptly.
- Optimize Magento websites for performance, security, and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Magento, its extensions, and e-commerce best practices.
- May contribute to creating and maintaining technical documentation for Magento customizations and integrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- X years of experience as a Magento Developer or similar e-commerce development role.
- Strong understanding of PHP programming language (syntax, object-oriented programming, design patterns).
- In-depth knowledge of the Magento platform, its architecture, functionalities, and best practices.
- Experience with building and customizing Magento themes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap.
- Experience with MySQL databases and familiarity with Magento’s data model is a plus.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is essential.
- Experience with deployment tools and processes for Magento websites (e.g., GitLab CI/CD) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality code.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with Magento 2 development and its new features.
- Experience with headless Magento deployments and API integrations.
- Experience with security best practices for e-commerce websites.
