The Role
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented HTML Developer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in translating design mockups and UI/UX specifications into clean, semantic, and user-friendly HTML code. You will work closely with designers, web developers, and other team members to bring our web projects to life.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, well-structured, and cross-browser compatible HTML code adhering to W3C standards.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to understand website design mockups and translate them into pixel-perfect HTML.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites render flawlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
- Write clean, semantic HTML code that is well-commented and easy to maintain.
- Integrate reusable HTML components and utilize web accessibility best practices (WCAG).
- Assist with front-end development tasks like basic CSS styling and JavaScript (optional).
- Optimize HTML code for performance and fast loading times.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in HTML5 features and web development trends.
- May contribute to testing and debugging web pages to ensure functionality across different browsers.
- May collaborate on creating and maintaining website documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- X years of experience as an HTML Developer or similar front-end development role.
- Strong understanding of HTML syntax, semantics, and best practices.
- Experience with responsive web design principles and frameworks (optional).
- Familiarity with basic CSS for styling and layout (optional).
- Working knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality code.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Points
- Experience with a front-end development framework (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation).
- Experience with preprocessors like Sass or Less (optional).
- Experience with a JavaScript library like jQuery (optional).
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) (optional).
- Understanding of SEO principles for web development is a plus.
