The Financial Pillar
We are searching for a meticulous and results-oriented Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, providing valuable financial insights to support business decisions. Your strong accounting skills and analytical mind will be essential in managing our financial processes, from bookkeeping to financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing & Reconciliations:
- Process financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll) accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts are balanced and accurate.
- Maintain a clean and organized general ledger.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
- Create financial reports and presentations to support management decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Financial Controls & Compliance:
- Maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and security of financial data.
- Comply with all relevant tax regulations and filing deadlines.
- Assist with external audits as needed.
- Other Duties:
- Close out the accounting books at month-end and year-end.
- Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned (e.g., fixed asset management, account payable processing).
- Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum X years of experience in financial accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (a plus).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Bonus Points
- Experience in a similar industry (a plus).
- Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) (a plus).
- Experience with internal controls frameworks (e.g., SOX) (a plus).
- Proficiency in a second language (a plus).
